COPYRIGHT law protects the expression of an original idea recorded in a tangible form, such as artwork in the form of photographs or paintings and literary works in the form of poems or stories.

TRADEMARK law protects the use of words, symbols, designs, or logos that identify and distinguish a source of goods.

Copyright Notices

Woof Apparel does not design or manufacture any of the merchandise promoted on its website.  All products are designed and submitted by artists around the world. If you are a copyright owner, or agent of the owner, and believe any of your Copyright or IP rights have been violated, please use the information provided below to file a report with us.  We take IP and Copyright issues very seriously. 

How do you file a DMCA Notice?

Your DMCA Notice must include all of the following information:

  • Your contact information, including your full name, address, phone number, and email address.
  • Identification of the original copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. Provide direct links to the original work. If you don't have direct links, then you can provide a detailed description of your work.
  • Links to the content you believe violates or infringes your copyright. Provide a comprehensive list of each individual page with the content you want to be removed and not just the main shop link.
  • The following statements:
    • I have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
    • I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate, and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
    • I acknowledge that a copy of this infringement notice, including any contact information provided above, may be provided to the person that posted the content being reported.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Trademark notice requirements

Your Trademark notice needs the following information:

  • Trademark owner’s full name.
  • Your contact information, including your full name, address, phone number, and email address.
  • Include the following information for each trademark at issue:
    • a description of the trademark;
    • the countries it is registered in;
    • trademark registration number; and
    • the category of products and/or services covered by the registration.
  • Links to the content you believe violates or infringes your trademark(s). Provide a comprehensive list of each individual page with the content you want to be removed and not just the main shop link.
  • Description of how you believe the content violates or infringes your trademark(s).
  • The following statements:
    • I have a good faith belief that the use of the trademark as described above, in the manner I have complained of, is not authorized by the trademark owner, its agent, or the law.
    • I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate, and that I am the owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the trademark rights described above.
    • I acknowledge that a copy of this infringement notice, including any contact information provided above, may be provided to the person.

What happens after sending the DMCA/ Trademark Notice?

If the Notice complies with the requirements of the DMCA, we will remove or disable access to the content that is allegedly infringing.

Note: You can be held liable for damages, including costs and attorney fees if certain material misrepresentations are contained in your DMCA Notice. Consult an attorney before filing a DMCA Notice if you are unsure if your copyrights have been infringed.
